PANIPAT INSTITUTE OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY (PIET) is the top civil engineering college in Delhi NCR, the oldest branch of engineering supposed to have come in existence during the settlement process of the Stone Age nomadic man as he felt the need of houses resulting into the study of building technology which has come to be known as Civil Engineering. It is so called because it is different from Military Engineering and its scope is spread to both public and private sectors and it relates to buildings and structures made for individuals or public at large. Of late Civil Engineering has become an international profession with the setting up of Real Estate business.
PIET has the approval of AICTE, Govt. of India and is affiliated to Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra. This institute is located on NH1 and is spread over 16 acres area with a world class infrastructure comprising of computer labs., library, net café, amphitheatre, internet with WI-FI facilities, cafeterias, ATM, stationery shop, smart class rooms with AC facility hostels for boys and girls and residential complex for faculties which make it a complete and self contained education centre. And to make the best use of infrastructure it is the house of academics with most able faculties and a very strong financial based management who believe in funding to provide student satisfaction, methodology and technology to match the demand supply curve and uplift the competitive level of technocrats and professionals. All these together make the Panipat Institute of Engineering and Technology an outstanding name. One very important aspect of civil engineering is the land and soil survey, which is an expensive practical because students are supposed to be exposed to varying land areas for a wide based knowledge. Why it needs a special mention here because this one college has on its agenda to provide opportunity for students to go out in far off hills, valleys and plain areas.

We have programs with focus on budding professionals blended with interest abiding and interactive activities. This is done through curricular and extracurricular activities, reinforced by activities like quizzes, debates, Group Discussions, PDP Sessions. We involve at times external trainers to make the seminars more interesting and fruitful. Mock and Aptitude tests, problem solving exercises are a few more tools that are used to build a strong base.
