PIET - Top Colleges in Haryana

At the end of April I chanced to visit PANIPAT INSTITUTE OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY, which is rated Top Engineering colleges in Haryana, Top institutions in Delhi NCR.  This college is situated at 70 mile stone on NH1. This is affiliated to the Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra, one of the top Universities of North India, and approved by AICTE, Govt. of India. And the very special thing about it is the rural/urban population combination. The reason for my visit was to attend their talent hunt event by the name of PIET QUEST 2K15 and to satiate my curiosity as to why people talk about this college so high. The other part of attraction was the presence of His Excellency Prof. Kaptan Singh Solanki, The Governor Haryana and Punjab as distinguished guest, who said in his address,

“On visiting this institute I felt a sense of pride and satisfaction looking at the facilities provided to students for their uplift, which reflects a spirit of dedication to education on part of the management. I am also exalted to know the quantum of student involvement in this quest touching nearly 60 thousand, which I think should be the biggest event across the country”

The words of such an elite person would definitely were not without a base. The vast college campus gives a feeling of being at a world level Institute. The ichnography, a green ambient, neat, clean and hygienic cafeterias, well furnished comfortable hostels for boys and girls, a score computer labs with 1000 computers, internet & WI-FI, AC class rooms with smart class aids, ATM facility, a self sufficient stationery shop etc.

But I think this is not enough to make a college stand as high as the top Engineering colleges in Haryana, Top institutions in Delhi NCR as is PANIPAT INSTITUTE OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY. When it comes to imparting education, they have the best of faculties which are fully dedicated to the mission of PIET to engineer the best students, a branded product of the Institute, who could face any challenges anywhere in the globe. For this preparedness they have in place tools like NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCES, GLOBAL TIE-UPS &INTERNATIONAL TRAININGS as an effective tool for the students.  They have a tie ups with colleges and Universities of USA, UK, Sweden, Germany, Holland to name a few. At the end of April I got an opportunity to attend a competitive meet at Panipat Institute of Engineering and Technology (PIET), at their campus situated at 70 mile stone on NH1. It was a mega event and the chief guest of the function was none other than the highest in state.

It was a matter of great honour for PANIPAT INSTITUTE OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY to have as distinguished guest His Excellency Prof. Kaptan Singh Solanki, The Governor Haryana and Punjab, who said in his address,

It is worth mentioning here that PANIPAT INSTITUTE OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY (PIET) is affiliated to the Kurukshetra University, one of the elite universities of North India, and approved by AICTE, Govt. of India. It is rated the top Institute of Haryana. The vast campus is spread over an area of 16 acres along the NH1 at a stone’s throw from Delhi and Panipat. I would like to share with you that in the last week of April Mr. Ranjit Bhatia, Rotarian PDG, an exporter and a social worker along with Prof. Jiri Militky and Prof. Dana Kremenokova from the Technical University of Liberec, Czech Republic along with Dr. Rajesh Mishra and Prof. B. K. Behara conducted an INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON TECHNICAL TEXTILE at the premises of Panipat Institute of Engineering and Technology (PIET) situated at Samalkha (70 mile stone) on NH1, affiliated to Kurukshetra University and approved by AICTE, Govt. of India. They chose this college because it is named as the Top Textile Engineering Colleges of Haryana, Top Institutes in Haryana, which provides a Textile Engineering Degree which is comprised of textile harvesting, textile processing using scientific and engineering principles and theories, machinery used, energy conservation, waste and pollution control etc. This course offers an interesting scientific career to work with fibers and a few other textile materials and account for improving the current textile products as well as create new innovative ones.

The point here worth mentioning is that in a country of such diverse cultures and traditions, religions and sects where people have different clothing and different ways of living.  Dresses vary with cultures and seasons, festivals and social and family functions, there are less than 100 institutions wide spread across the country which provide courses in Textile Engineering.
