PIET and The Bollywood 👑

When we talk about the Top Institutes in Haryana, we all know that Panipat Institute of Engineering and Technology (PIET) is the TOP institute, which is affiliated to Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra and is approved by AICTE, Govt. of India. As said by Dr. APJ Kalam,

By virtue of its location on the G T Road it has an efficient connectivity with the national capital airport. Also the vast campus is spread over 16 acres with thick tree grooves which add extra life to the beautifully structured spacious, well lighted and well furnished air-conditioned class rooms which are also fitted with latest teaching equipments. But a very special part of this institute is its’ amphitheater, which is beautifully built basis Roman architecture and is huge enough to seat 3000+ audience. Of late this stage has caught fancy of the celluloid world as many a celebrity from Bollywood has performed here over the last few years.

15th November was one such important day at PIET where the auditions for MR. & MISS INDIA 2016 were held here. The programme was steered by Sh. Yash Ahlawat ji, who is the owner of Studio 19 Films at Delhi and plays a key role in these periodical events. He was accompanied by Sh. Bala Ji, his close associate in the venture and Miss. Simran Kaur who is known as a ‘voice over artist’ of the popular cartoon series ‘DOREMON’. It was a pleasure for the PIET students to perform in under the lenses of such reputed personalities of the ‘World of Glamour’ hoping for a break through, you never know.

A group of around 25 girls and 45 boys made an exhibit of their talent on the stage, and as always happen about 10 girls and 25 boys were able to clear the preliminary round of this contest winning ‘Delhi Golden Ticket’. They would now be destined for The Taj Vivanta, Delhi for 5 day grooming classes for the semi-final round slated for January 2017, which is likely to be attended by Arbaz Khan, Amisha Patel, Sushmita Sen and Zarin Khan Etc.

Present on the occasion were Sh. Hari Om Tayal ji Chairman PIET, Sh. Suresh Tayal ji Secretary PIET, Sh. Rakesh Tayal ji, Memer BOG PIET and Prof. Dr. K K Paliwal, Director PIET along with Sh Sushil Mastana ji, guest of the day to support the event and motivate the young aspirants.

Speaking on the occasion Sh Rakesh Tayal ji said that we at PIET are a focused team of management and teachers working on an over development of the youth. While on the academic front they are shining the college name by bagging top positions in the university merit list year after year, they are also making their presence felt in the extracurricular field like the event of the day. He reiterated that only on this stage one of our BBA students was the winner of ‘MISS HARYANA’ title with six more girls winning other titles. And as I talk to you, it is a coincident that at least first four university positions in the BBA stream have gone to our students basis the results declared today.

While thanking the PIET management Sh. Yash Ahlavat ji said that it was an experience to be at this institute and only after being here physically I could understand that why Panipat Institute of Engineering and Technology (PIET) is the TOP institute. He said he felt overwhelmed with the courtesy and hospitality and impressed by the infrastructure, so huge and world beating.
