This is a distinguished, exalted and venerated national-level management competitive exam and to get into a prestigious business school, you need to score well with clear understanding about your choice.

Allocation of marks

In general, you would get 4 marks for every correct answer whereas for every wrong answer, 1 mark will be deducted.

Some of the important tips which can help you prepare better for CAT are as following:

Comprehend the syllabus well

This is a useful tip not only for CAT aspirants but all exams in general.  As mentioned above, the exam tests your knowledge in Quantitative Ability, Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension.  The concepts used are basically that of class X level. This, however, should not make you complacent as the questions are pretty tricky and require high level of thinking and reasoning abilities. The best way forward is to put in as much practise as you can.

Set your target

CAT exams are extremely hard to crack and you should keep all the doors open. Start by being clear about your goals and objectives. Do you want to study only in IIMs or other top management institutes accepting the CAT score are also on your radar?  Do not forget to check out previous years sectional as well as overall percentile cut off of these institutes.  Each institute has in place its own set of criterions for admission and your awareness about them could help to a considerable extent in your admissions.

Selection for Group Discussion and Personal Interview

Candidates who secure the sectional cut-offs as well as the overall cut-offs in the written test are called for GD/PI by institutes they have applied for. This is the ultimate step of the selection-process.

What if I do not get good percentile in CAT?

It is good to be optimistic but it always helps to have a contingency plan in case things do not turn out according to your initial estimation.  If you do not get good percentile in CAT, it does not mean the end of world for you. There are many other top-quality management institutes in India who accept scores of other highly notable management entrance exams like XAT and MAT.  You can prepare for these exams as well while preparing for CAT as the pattern followed by almost all major competitive management entrance exams are more or less the same.

What After B.Tech? MBA or M.Tech

Many of us seem to be caught in the horns of the dilemma where we are not sure which way to take after we complete our Bachelors in Technology. The dilemma usually is between M.Tech and MBA and certainly most opt for M.Tech as it is a high cadre qualification. If you are only a B.Tech it would apparently take years of experience for you to reach to such a position. M.Tech is what makes you a specialist in your work area and gives you an edge over others with Bachelors degrees. It even makes you eligible as a teacher.

However the dilemma does not finish here. The aspirants are again caught in two opposite directions namely industry or teaching. You then stand a big chance to work with with research-based projects in Govt. organizations like BARC, ISRO or NTPC.
It is also advisable to master communication skills which could help you to get employment with government run institutes as they are always looking for good teachers. And for acquiring this entire one must choose a good college.

Career, Scope and Growth in Textile Engineering in India

Textile engineering means clothing people in a way that they get good jobs. It is in fact a science of appearance which greatly improves the personality of people. It is a fashion language with designed clothes as the word goes. And the clothes are never cheap. You may call them economical or more modern word is ‘chic’. The point to impress upon here is that textile is a very integral part of man since ages but surprisingly textile engineering is not very common among engineering institutes. A sudden spurt in this field of engineering has taken the country by surprise.

It is worth mentioning here that Indian Textile Industry plays a very vital role in the economic growth of the nation and we are the emerging leaders in this field. Going by the above facts, it is certainly the second largest employer as well and already has about 110 million people working in this trade. The recent 2018-19 Union Budget has given clear indications by allocating Rs. 7000/- crores that Textile sector still has major untapped potential which indicates at still greater opportunities for textile engineers.

Now a days its very difficult for the graduates to decide what to do after completing graduation.Either they should go for the preparation of government jobs or look for the private companies or go for the further studies. If the student choose for studying further than the most common problem is choosing the right college and the right course in post graduation. If someone is thinking of doing MBA after graduation than this is the best choice one has, because it  gives a student good knowledge about the market, companies and entire world. But the most common problem is choosing the best MBA college with minimum fee structure .

Here iam going to mention some of the best MBA college in Haryana which are ranked as top 5 colleges in the state. The top MBA college among all is PIET(Panipat Institute of Engineering and Technology). The college is affiliated to Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra and approved by AICTE. The eligibility criteria for entering into the college requires Graduate or Post Graduate in any stream with 50% marks (47.50% marks for SC/ST). But the admissions are not done directly for the course else you have to go for CMAT/MAT exam. This course imparts a panorama, enriching the students and encouraging them to think beyond their horizons, identify out-of-the-box solutions and challenge the status. The focus here is not on producing business managers , but socially responsible business luminaries. As PIET is the best MBA college for management , it also provides good percentage of discount in the fee structure also.If a student has scored above 80% in graduation than the waiver in tution fee will be 20% and if it is between70-80% than he can get waiver of 10% in the tution fee. Also students who have passed their degree from a University established by an Act or Law will be given only half of the concession mentioned above. BBA, BIM & BCA graduates will also be given only half of the concession given to graduates from other streams.Talking about the boys’ hostel has the capacity of about 200 boys (extendable up to 250) whereas the girls’ hostel can house 50 girls (can be extended up to 100). Hostels have Common Rooms, Gym, Badminton Courts, Volleyball ground and facilities for other indoor games. 5 guidelines to choose the right B. Tech College | B.tech college in Delhi NCR 2020

Being a big decision of life, figuring out the right B.tech college can be skeptical for both you and your parents. Through this blog, I’ll help you to streamline which B.tech college will best match your endeavor and help to shape your future.

1.Finalize your B.tech stream: Choose the engineering stream you would like to pursue before settling down for a particular college. This one is the most crucial decision.
In my recommendation, students in their senior secondary shall initiate this discussion with their parents and guardians. If you are still confused, get the help of education counselors and your teachers or you’ll land up in a random course with unmotivated 4 years of journey.

2.Categorize the colleges according to your priorities: There are a number of B.tech colleges that render limited seats while some others have a difficult entry procedure.
It is recommended to draft a list with 3 columns, the first encapsulating the top-notch colleges (tough to get admission in), second with above-average B.tech colleges, and the third with the colleges where you can easily get admission. Doing this will help you to avoid disappointment if in case you don’t get into your favorite place.

3.Checklist the important determining factors: Getting the top college may not be the only ultimate factor for every student. Some of them may face issues with fee structure, location or distance. In such cases, students must timely draw the following list, checkmark the favorable, and choose the college accordingly.
-Location
-Distance from home
-Quality of faculty and curriculum
-Accreditations
-Placement assurance
-Internship guarantee
-Scholarships and other financial aids
-Tuition fee
-Type of the institute - private or government
You can easily get information for the above-listed points from the official website of the colleges. For further queries, you can even call the help center of the respected institute.

Make a list of all the B.tech colleges shortlisted by you and rank them 1/10 according to your checklist.

4.Look for scholarships and other financial aids: This can prove worthwhile for the students who have grabbed good scores in the top-notch colleges but some financial issues are forcing them to back off.

5.Better not to judge by the brand name: ‘Don’t judge a book by its cover’ is a better-known phrase. The same goes for colleges. The college might be well-reputed and better known for its machinery and well-equipped labs but may not have adequate resources for IT or civil engineering. This chaos may disappoint you later.

I hope that the above list will help you in making future choices for your favorable B.tech college in Delhi NCR.
