At the end
of April I got an opportunity to attend a competitive meet at Panipat Institute
of Engineering and Technology (PIET), at their campus situated at 70 mile stone
on NH1. It was a mega event and the chief guest of the function was none other
than the highest in state.
It was a matter of great honour for PANIPAT
INSTITUTE OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY to have as distinguished guest His Excellency Prof. Kaptan Singh Solanki, The
Governor Haryana and Punjab, who said in his address,
“On visiting this institute I felt a sense of pride
and satisfaction looking at the facilities provided to students for their
uplift, which reflects a spirit of dedication to education on part of the
management. I am also exalted to know the quantum of student involvement in
this quest touching nearly 60 thousand, which I think should be the biggest
event across the country”
It is
worth mentioning here that PANIPAT INSTITUTE OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY
(PIET) is affiliated to the Kurukshetra University, one of the elite
universities of North India, and approved by AICTE, Govt. of India. It is rated
the
top Institute of Haryana. The vast
campus is spread over an area of 16 acres along the NH1 at a stone’s throw from
Delhi and Panipat. The location thus is helpful in catering to the needs of
rural population to a great extent simultaneously as the area where it is
located (Samalkha) is surrounded by more than 80 villages and every village has
at least one senior secondary school.
I must
admit that it was truly an eye opening experience for me to be a spectator of
this elite institution which is famous for its
teaching methods, infrastructure comprising of abundant computer labs, library,
net-café and WI-FI, ATM, cafeterias, stationery shop and everything else which
a student needs during his stay at college. Comfortable hostels for boys and
girls as well as residential for faculties are sufficiently available.
For students seeking admission to the Best
Engineering Colleges in Haryana, Top Engineering Institutes in Haryana, Panipat Institute of Engineering &
Technology, which is the only one in this region to have students exchange
programs with Universities of Singapore, USA, UK, Germany, Sweden, Holland etc.
It was
also revealed that this college has not only been rated four and a half stars
during a survey of Haryana colleges by the famous journal ‘Career Connect,’ but
also that this institution has been awarded:--
·
Best Engineering College in North India
·
Best Placement in North India
