PIET - One of The Best Engineering Colleges of Kurukshetra University

I want to put across for awareness of all that a serious concern prevails amongst the Government of India, AICTE and amongst the Engineering aspirants regarding placement probabilities because the situation is very dismal and disappointing. The news around is that only 40% engineers get employment after completion of their course, which certainly is a matter of concern as engineering is the most sought-after profession in the modern times. HRD minister Prakash Javadekar’s recent announcement in the Lok Sabha that it is now mandatory for engineering students to do at least three internships during college has left many engineering students worried about which internship to do and, more importantly, when. Well, the good news is that it’s not so difficult and here are some tips on how you should go about it:

While not many institutes have yet taken it on top priority due to some limitations, may I tell you that at Panipat Institute of Engineering and Technology (PIET), the best Engineering college of Kurukshetra University, have made necessary plans to provide students a strong base for placement at the end of their courses. This is done through regular sessions on soft skill development, communication skill development and mock interview sessions. PIET has earned the name of a ‘homeland of skilled and promising technocrats and professionals’ with the quality of a good working relationship as upright citizens. The learning environment provides an opportunity for them to be dynamic and vigorous while developing their inherent skills and scholastic qualities. PIET’s Training and Placement Cell has evolved a dynamic interface with Industry to groom the students in sync with the needs and requirements of global market and enable them to take advantage of opportunities. The Placement Cell is committed to making the requirement experience highly productive & positive for all the stakeholders. Hence shop floor training is easily available to all.

The methodology is primarily training and seminars from experts across the globe. PIET also provides so many short term courses for faculty and students such as “Design of Experiment and Advanced Optimization Technique”, Entrepreneurship, “Emerging trends & scope of employment in Logistics Sector”, “Cyber Security and Forensic Tools”, “Technicalities of Writing a Perfect Resume”, “CLOUD COMPUTING, “Digital Repository and Storage Management”, Recent Trends in Communication Technologies, ‘Research Methodology’ through ICT for faculty of Technical Institutions,  “Intellectual Property Rights and Patent Filing Procedure”, Advancements in Card and Comber, Digital printing, Metal Detectors and Warp and ‘VISION ROBOTICS’ to name a few.

PIET, one of the best Engineering colleges of Kurukshetra University produces engineers who are capable professionals and are globally acceptable technocrats, competent enough to transform situations, environments and systems in an unbelievable way. This has been possible only because they are a ‘research focused’ organisation and there are many types of studies which could be defined as observational research including case studies, ethnographic studies, ethological studies, etc. which are done through qualitative methods and go a long way in answering why and how questions getting to the bottom of complex issues and produce rich insightful information.
