One of such gestures was a  ‘BLOOD DONATION CAMP’ which was organized on 10th March. The best part of this event was that it was totally a student driven mission. The camp was graced by Rtn. Smarth Goel as the Chief Guest and Prof.(Dr.) K K Paliwal was the Guest of Honour. The event was the initiative of Rtn. Aryan Verma, President, Rtn. Chirag Makkar, and Secretory who liaised with “Dotract Rotary Club Partner” and also got the management support.

Sh. Rakesh Tayal, Member BOG, PIET inaugurated the camp by being the first donor and encouraged the youth to come forward and contribute in such drives which would make them feel mentally strong as a good job done for the unknown makes the souls pure. He said you won’t even ever know whose life you have saved nor would the survivor know whose blood saved him but The God knows and shall bestow His blessings on you.

A total 126 units of blood were donated by the PIET students. The Chief Guest of the day felt more than satisfied and said that he was thankful to the management and students of this institute who are constantly organizing blood donation camps and are the torch bearers for other educational colleges. He added that education is not just books but a blend of all aspects of life.

While receiving a momento from Sh. Hari Om Tayal, Chairman PIET, he said I am feeling blessed being honoured at the hands of such a veteran who, with his long term vision and student friendly policies, has made Panipat Institute of Engineering and Technology the Best Institute of not only Haryana but also North India and provided a new platform of learning where students from Haryana, other states of India and so many from other countries come and go back successful.
